Advisory Board
Established in March 1992, the California Pear
Advisory Board (CPAB) is a state agricultural marketing order
organized under the California Agricultural Marketing Act of
1937, which allows farmers to assess themselves to fund various
industry programs.
The marketing order covers both fresh and processed
Bartlett pears produced in California. Mandated programs include
promotion, research, standardization, policy, pesticide advocacy,
and the cumulating of industry statistics and information.
CPAB
is headquartered in Sacramento - the heart of one of the nation's
leading Bartlett pear growing regions. Board functions include
promotion, research, standardization, policy, pesticide advocacy,
and the cumulating of industry statistics and information.
