California Raisin
Marketing Board
The well-being of American agriculture affects all of us. For
instance, as a major specialty crop in California, the production
and marketing of raisins affects the welfare, standard of living
and health of many residents of the state. In addition, a large
portion of each year’s raisin crop is exported, which positively
impacts not only the California economy, but the US balance of
trade as well. For these reasons and more, agricultural commodity
boards exist to support agriculture in a variety of ways, ranging
from crop research to recipe research and development.
The California
Raisin Marketing Board is funded 100 percent by our growers,
who are committed to providing the highest quality fruit in the
world.
