Following, are six activities to incorporate the Go for the Gold program, developed especially for California students by the “California Grown” statewide education campaign along with the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom. The purpose of these activities is to teach your students about California agriculture, the health and economic benefits of buying and eating locally grown products, and to instill pride in their agriculturally rich state.

Spin to Win Online Flash Game
After developing and launching a number of hands-on consumer activities for the successful “California Grown” Zone events in 2003, the one element that resonated most strongly with consumers was the ever-popular “Spin to Win” game. While the draw of the game is undeniably the opportunity to be entered in to a monthly drawing to win prizes, the beauty of it is that through the questions and answers, consumers are learning about California agriculture in a fun-filled, high-energy activity.
